Obviously, with self-employment, there is the added issue of whether the Entrant is part-time (working around another job) or full-time; we will concentrate on full-time. Certainly if they are employed within the domestic sector this makes it easier to take on work without having to rely upon other people.

‘Green Engineering’ is another area to consider. This requires new skills and working knowledge and is one of the fastest growing areas today.
